Slavia Prague has added bicycle racks in front of their stadium

A total of 6 bicycle racks with a capacity for 12 bikes have been added in front of the Fortuna Arena stadium in Prague’s Vršovice district. SK Slavia has also set up a Nextbike shared bike station in the middle of the parking lot. Football fans, players, and employees now have the option to ride their bikes to the stadium and securely lock them to high-quality racks. This makes it the first major stadium in Prague to offer convenient cycling access.

How is it elsewhere?

In Czech cities with a higher share of cycling, people tend to commute to stadiums and arenas more frequently by bike. For example, the ČPP Arena in Hradec Králové is a case in point, where the city has relatively recently established a parking lot with racks for around 150 bicycles.

In České Budějovice, people also frequently commute to sport events by bike. However, the city has not yet established dedicated bicycle parking at the local stadiums. As a result, people often lock their bikes to fences or railings instead.
