After reconstruction Komořanská Street now has bike lanes

Komořanská Street was reconstructed over a 400-meter stretch between U Spořitelny and Zlochova streets, located opposite the new Modřanský Cukrovar development. The construction also included the installation of a traffic light at the intersection with K Vystrkovu Street, as well as new bus bays and pedestrian islands at crosswalks.

The bike lanes run uninterrupted in both directions along the street, providing a width of 1.5 meters. This allows for easier overtaking of traffic queues, provides dedicated space for cycling, and calms traffic by narrowing the regular driving lane to 2.5 meters. According to the cycling master plan, the main cycling route A402 is planned to run along this street.

At both ends of the section, the bike lanes currently end without direct connection. The nearest connection is offered by the A21 cycling route, which links Libuš and Modřany with the right-bank cycling route A2.
