City hall has marked new non-dedicated bike lanes on Husitská Street in Prague 3. Previously only pictograms were marked on this four-lane street, so Husitská has seen a slight improvement.
The new non-dedicated bike lanes are located between the intersection with Trocnovská Street and the Bulhar intersection. On both sides, the bike lane runs the entire length of the street, away from the vicinity of the intersections, where it suddenly ends or transitions into a pictogram corridor. In total, the new 1.5-meter-wide bike lanes cover a length of 500 meters.
In the future, the planned urban cycling route A412 will run through the street. It is designed to connect Karlín, the Main Train Station, Wenceslas Square, and Karlov.
In the remainder of Husitská Street and further into Hartigova Street, the measures continue the non-dedicated bike lane uphill towards Žižkov. The Bulhar intersection is awaiting reconstruction, which will improve its layout and connect it to the bike lanes on Husitská. Through new crossings, transitions, and bike lanes, it will enhance connections for cycling and pedestrian traffic.
