With a minor intervention the city district of Prague 19 (Kbely) significantly improved the permeability of the locality. By removing a fence and creating a short path for pedestrians and cyclists they established a new practical connection that will gain further importance in the future.
The short path serves as a direct link between Polaneckého (Sedlářova) and Železnobrodská streets. The new 80-meter-long section of pedestrian and cycling route has a provisional surface made of recycled asphalt. The rest of the route follows existing roads that were not previously connected. Starting from the center of Kbely, it first passes by the garages along the new connecting path and continues along an asphalt road through the industrial area.
The significance of the route is enhanced by the residential quarter in Sedlářova Street that is currently being constructed and by the future extension of the Via Sancta cycle path, along which the A267 cycle route will run. A separated path for pedestrians and cyclists is also designed for the aforementioned industrial area.
