The repair of Topolová Street in Zahradní Město, Prague 10, has brought a minor integration of bicycle traffic. Most of the street now features a bike pictogram corridor, with a short section including a bike lane.
Advisory bike lanes in both directions have been created in the northern section of the street, between Švehlova and Macešková streets. This measure will allow for a more pleasant ascent on this 150-meter-long section and better overtaking of queues at traffic lights. The section with bike lanes is also part of the planned A423 bike route.
In the remaining section, cyclists have no choice but to share the road with cars, indicated at least by the bike pictogram corridor.
The surface repairs, which will be completed by the end of July, include not only the renewal of the road surface but also the sidewalks and curbs. According to TSK Prague, the reconstruction of the Jahodová – Topolová intersection will not take place due to future excavation work by the Prague Water Management Company (PVS).
