After 20 years the paths along Kbely Airport got a new surface

The paths, where motor vehicles are prohibited, now have a smooth asphalt surface. This allows for more comfortable and faster cycling, even in bad weather. Specifically, this refers to the Kb-Hl bike route, i.e., Kbely–Hloubětín, between Prague 19 and the Novopacká highway. The turn-off towards Satalice, where the A44 bike route runs, also received a new surface.

Near the Novopacká highway, the newly surfaced path connects to a 1-kilometer „cycling highway.“ This section along Novopacká was completed in 2021 and leads further into Hloubětín. In the future, the Northeast cycling highway is planned to connect to Nad Klíčovem and Blatská streets, extending further into the center of Prague.
