Hradec Králové has completed the cycle path to the DTJ area, including the entrance from Jungmannova

The main part of the investment was the construction of a 350-meter-long asphalt path instead of the original panel and partly gravel road to the DTJ area. Near the DTJ, builders also constructed a parking lot with 64 spaces, with another 24 spaces created along the path. In the area, builders also constructed a cycle path that connects to the underpass beneath Rašínova Street, allowing cyclists to continue along the Elbe River towards the tennis area. The entrance to the cycle path is now at the intersection with Jungmannova, where it connects to the traffic flow in Veverkova and Jungmannova.

The construction also included structural modifications on the four-lane Rašínova Street and in Veverkova Street, from which one arrives at the DTJ area. „On Rašínova Street, turning lanes were added including traffic signs and there was also an adjustment of greenery. Work on the entire construction ended in February including successful final inspections,“ town hall stated. Over 6.8 million Czech crowns for the construction were covered by the Road and Motorway Directorate of the Czech Republic (ŘSD), with the remainder paid by the city.

The main current roads investment in Hradec Králové is the reconstruction of the Mileta intersection on the ring road for more than half a billion Czech crowns. It is a joint investment by ŘSD, the city, and the region. The reconstruction is expected to start in April and last until the end of 2026.
