Shared bikes are now also available in Most. What is the infrastructure there like?

Nextbike was selected as the bike-sharing operator. Its blue-gray bikes are distributed throughout the city center, with stations also located at Matylda Lake, Most, and Benedikt. The service also covers the shopping center, regional hospital, main train station, and tram stops.

Users enjoy the first 15 minutes of riding for free. From the 16th minute onwards, a standard rate of 25 CZK for every 30 minutes applies.

Cycle lanes and paths

In the CykloRank 2023 ranking, which compared cycling infrastructure in the 127 largest Czech cities, Most was placed 43rd. In terms of density and quantity of cycling infrastructure, it ranks alongside cities like Písek, Říčany, and Hodonín. Across the entire cadastral area of ​​the city (which includes the surrounding area), there are 60 kilometers of cycling infrastructure.

Within the city itself, there are several paths for pedestrians and cyclists, such as along Žatecká, Moskevská, Velebudická, and Jana Palacha streets. These paths are shared with pedestrians and are mostly marked on existing sidewalks, which have sufficient width. There is usually no lack of connections for cyclists. Most also has three kilometers of dedicated cycle lanes, located on Chomutovská, Rudolická, and Slovenského národního povstání streets.

Updates on the "Městem na kole" Map

As part of the launch of the Most bikesharing program, the Městem na kole editorial team has updated the map of cycling infrastructure in Most. Within a few days, the map will include several kilometers of paths for pedestrians and cyclists that were not previously marked. These paths include those along Žatecká, Okružní, Velebudická, Tyršova streets, and around Benedikt Lake.
